1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how The Tack Rack collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use its app, website, marketplace, and related services.
2. Information You Provide
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, profile information, login/account identifiers, shipping address, phone number, listing details, photographs, messages, reviews, support communications, search information, purchase history, and information you submit when reporting a problem. Sellers may provide information required for payment onboarding and payouts through our payment provider.
3. Payment Information
Payment card and bank-account information may be collected and processed by Stripe or another authorized payment provider. The Tack Rack does not store complete payment card numbers or seller bank-account credentials. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, payout status, dispute information, and other payment-related records needed to operate the marketplace.
4. Automatically Collected Information
We may receive limited device, app, security, and technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. If analytics, advertising, or additional tracking technologies are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated as required.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts; publish and manage listings; enable searches, saved items, messages, offers, purchases, shipping, tracking, delivery confirmation, refunds, disputes, and payouts; provide customer support; prevent fraud and abuse; enforce policies; comply with legal obligations; communicate service information; and operate and improve the Service.
6. How We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that help operate the Service, including payment processors, cloud/database and authentication providers, shipping and tracking providers, notification providers, professional advisers, fraud/security providers, and authorities when legally required. Buyers and sellers may receive information reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, such as shipping information. We do not sell personal information for money.
7. Stripe
Stripe may process personal, transaction, identity, banking, tax, and other information under its own privacy policy and contractual terms. Sellers using Stripe Connect may have a direct relationship with Stripe and may be required to accept Stripe’s applicable connected-account agreement.
8. Firebase and Cloud Services
The Tack Rack uses Firebase and Google cloud services for functions such as authentication, database storage, uploaded images, messaging, notifications, and other marketplace infrastructure. Information stored through these services may include account records, listings, messages, favorites, saved searches, transaction references, shipping and tracking status, delivery-confirmation timestamps, and uploaded listing images.
9. Shipping and Tracking Data
The Tack Rack may receive tracking numbers, carrier names, shipment events, estimated delivery information, shipping addresses, phone numbers needed for shipping, and delivery confirmations from users, carriers, or third-party shipping or tracking providers. We use this information to manage shipments, display shipment status, administer Buyer Protection, prevent fraud, and determine when seller payouts become eligible for release.
10. User-to-User Information
Listing information, seller profile information intended to be public, reviews, and other marketplace content may be visible to other users. Messages are intended for transaction-related communication between participants but may be accessed or preserved when reasonably necessary for support, safety, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or enforcement.
11. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain transaction and accounting records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and protect users. Retention periods may differ by data type. Information no longer required will be deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable and legally appropriate.
12. Account and Data Deletion
Users may initiate account deletion through the app. We will delete or de-identify personal data and user-generated content associated with the account as required, subject to limited retention for completed financial transactions, tax or accounting requirements, fraud and security purposes, disputes, legal obligations, or other lawful purposes. Users may also contact support regarding privacy or deletion requests.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords and account access.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Tack Rack is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Transactional features should only be used by persons legally able to enter the applicable agreement or with any legally required parent or guardian involvement. If we learn that information was collected from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take appropriate steps.
15. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain uses or disclosures of personal information. The Tack Rack will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify identity before fulfilling a request.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. The Last Updated date will identify the current version.
